You asked for opinion, so here it is. On your channel you can do anything you think is right. As a viewer, I have a right to watch or not. Personally I enjoy watching bag reviews. I am not interested in budget shirts made in China or fake diamonds.

  • @monarch6443

You will NEVER be able to please everyone! Honesty and transparency is all I ask of the RUclipsrs I subscribe to.

  • @pappyone6062

Deb, your channel, you decide what you show. It’s stupid to think that just because you like luxury bags, you can’t like something that is not luxury. Price point doesn’t determine whether someone likes a product or not. You should definitely link things below, what you’re wearing, a lipstick color, etc. Sheesh people are so annoying to have so many opinions about what you tube creators do. You can do whatever you want as long as you are genuine and honest. I am here to listen to someone I enjoy listening to. Have a great day!

  • @AP-qr5vy

    I like unboxings, it’s escapism ❤️

  • @mnop1774

I also like to see your hauls and unboxing videos. Thank you for asking us too!

  • @SusanMiddleton1

Deb, please continue to do as you like. It's your channel and your life. 😊. I enjoy it. One thing I would say is I'd like it if you would include measurements of your new bag purchases. I was trying to figure out the size of your new Fendi First and I could not!!

  • @StyledByGwenny

As long as we're transparent & and honest, I think: our channels, we can do what we want them! 🙌🏼💕

  • @pholtlux_749

I think it’s perfectly reasonable for a content creator to make money for the work that they put in. However, as in any other career, when it becomes more about money/sponsorships and less about the content, it shows and turns people off. As long as the initial enthusiasm, honesty, and focus on content remain, there isn’t an issue! Thank you for the hard work that you put in making these videos for others to enjoy. 😀

  • @lauriw4895

Hi Deb, I really enjoyed listening to your perspective. I have been following you for a really long time and you are a favorite of mine to

  • @DaylesAddiction

As a RUclipsr creator and Consumer…Idyl and other sponsorships - my sensored opinion (if you have spent your own money on it or you would spend your own money I think I feels more authentic) in my opinion. I also question some of these brands fitting into the aesthetic of a luxury channel that doesn’t otherwise discuss dupes (for diamonds) or cheaper alternatives of bags etc unless gifted. As creators in a niche area of YT we attract a niche crowd. I watch a-lot of content and I’m not clicking on dupes, cheap alternatives etc but when they are hidden collabs that’s even more annoying. I have YT Premium so I don’t want adverts. I controversially think that nobody invited us to the platform so do we have a right to expect an income for the time we volunteer to talk about a passion? Questionable. 🤨 we aren’t offering education, skills or capabilities, we’re speeding up market research .

Great topic Deb. So firstly for me, you tube is basically entertainment. Like watching a movie, reading a book, Listening to an audiobook. Sure people should be able to make money off of their videos. It takes a lot of time to regularly put out videos. And we are entertained by them. In terms of sponsorships, I consider those as a form of payment. The reason I think some people may have a problem with them is when someone who has never worn an item from a particular company, or of it’s the type of item that seems out of character for that you tuber is promoted. For instance, someone who only ever carries very high end luxury bags, and a company sends them a bag and sponsors the video, and the you tuber is raving about this bag that she would never carry or go out and buy on her own. And is never seen carrying g on her IG posts for instance. Or someone who only wears very high end luxury precious name brand jewelry like van cleef or Cartier, is promoting a cheap jewelry brand and may or may not actually be wearing the jewelry they were gifted in their real life. That can seem disingenuous to some people I imagine. None of these bother me, but I take the sponsored videos and what they are advertising with a grain of salt. But there is never a reason to be rude or mean to anyone putting out a video. Everyone is welcome to click out if it if they don’t like what’s being talked about in a video.

  • @heysaras

the more unique and “professional” style videos I’ve seen of yours is when you go to the factory or the showroom and we get to see what happens there. I loved seeing you (briefly) try to build a Dior bag. so whether or not you got paid for that or are “soliciting sponsorships” I find those kind of videos valuable because it teaches me something new. I get to feel like I’m having a fun, new experience I wouldn’t otherwise. It’s quality but not overly produced. and it’s hosted by YOU.

  • @Gina.Leigh1

Don’t feel pressured to change. I love your bag reviews and unboxings. Yes you are allowed to make money but I appreciate transparency if you are getting paid to review a product.

  • @Rose-qr4xn

This is my conundrum: I switched to RUclips from watching TV because I was aggravated by the excessive amount of commercials. I chose to join “premium” RUclips at a cost of $19.99 per month with the lure from RUclips that I can then miraculously watch “ad free” videos! Well in the last year or so I now see the video channels that I have committed to subscribe to now have “Sponsors”. Instead of fast forwarding through TV commercials I now find I have to fast forward through RUclips commercials yet continuing to pay for the privilege of paying $19.99/month. I live in the US. I don’t know if this applies worldwide.

  • @BeachieDogMom

I like seeing your luxury purchases!! If some people don’t like them, let them click of the video🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @lolipena8051

girl! it's your channel! do whatever the F you want! everyone has different tastes. if people stay, they stay because of you; if not, so be it. i will not watch hauls, don't care for shirts or fake diamonds. but I'll watch an unboxing if the bag interests me or if you seem excited about it. also, make your money! do you! review the bags and also I love videos that talk about what bags worked/didnt work for you and why, and also what you think of hyped bags, will they work for you or not?

  • @lv_lover3393

This is an interesting topic and btw unboxings are still probably my fave to watch and I can’t even tell you why ! It’s your channel so your choice, I like all your content sometimes it’s the creator we like not just the content! Sometimes if I’m looking for something specific I’m not sure if the “influencer” is being honest or just because they are getting paid for it but I think you are always true to yourself so I’d trust your review. Finally I definitely think it’s ok for make money it’s still your time at the end of the day ❤

  • @happymetee

Deb it’s your channel! You’re putting in the work and creating content that inspires you, so you’re entitled to any gains from it. Furthermore, if someone doesn’t like the subject then they can bypass the video. We won’t like everything you post and that’s fine. Do what you like 😊

  • @silkeso1593

You do you ❤ I love your channel because you show things I don‘t have the opportunity to look at in person. And I appreciate very much your „honest opinions“. I assume there is a lot of work to do behind the camera so of course you should get payed for it. People who do not appreciate what you are doing are not obliged to watch. To me this is joy and fun and entertainment. It is not serious. So nothing to complain about 🤗

  • @ItsOnlyWarPaint

I liked the way you approached this topic
